Well done to the Show’s behind the scenes gang for being a finalist in this year’s North Devon Journal Community Awards.

Over the 38 years the Show has been running, the team have given thousands of young people the opportunity to take part in the Show, spending hundreds of hours each year working in the background to give the cast the chance to build in confidence, learn new skills, make new friends and perform on a theatre stage.

The nomination read

“Nominated for giving the opportunity for around 70 young people each year to star in a community show, the young children involved gain confidence, new skills, friends and have a massive amount of fun. Rehearsals run from September to February with a tremendous amount of commitment from the young people but also the production team.

The team behind the scenes do a great job making costumes and scenery and fundraising to make it affordable for all”
