GANG SHOW 2022

Dear Future North Devon Gang Show cast applicants for the 2022 show.

It is with great regret that the decision to cancel the show for this year has been made by Devon County Scouting. Although it is the case that we have moved to Green readiness levels across England meaning that restrictions have been lifted on group sizes, international travel and large events , it is also unfortunately the case that there are certain caveats remaining in the guidance.

I have attached a link to this guidance at the foot of this message , but in short, the most important part of this guidance refers to the need for any event held to be Covid secure. If this cannot be achieved then sadly, the event must not take place.

Given the volume of people involved in this production, both in close proximity on stage and whilst in the changing areas, it is felt that the risk of Covid transmission cannot be effectively managed.

I want to assure all of you that this is not a decision that has been taken lightly. The safety of our members, young people, adult members, committee members and audience is paramount.

I know that this is extremely disappointing for everyone, but we will be back.
